Stop & Smell the Coffee

August 18, 2006

What’s on your list for Saturday? Run some errands? Household chores? Groceries shopping? Weekends can be just as busy as workdays – sometimes even more so.

Don’t forget to do something important for yourself this weekend – nothing. That’s what I’ll be doing.

I will take some time to relax and simply enjoy doing nothing. I will give myself permission to take an hour or two off. I will put on a fresh pot of coffee, browse the newspaper, and simply enjoy myself. I will prepare myself for a serious break.

Do take note that you don’t have to let your responsibilities slide. The danger is that you’ll do just the opposite, that you’ll become a slave to your schedule. You just have take control of your life by letting it go. As for me, I will take some time just for myself, and relax.

Work is what we do to help us make a living. But living is what we should do to help our work. So live a little. Trade the office wear for some “scuffies”.

Take a break so you won’t break.

Have a great weekend! 🙂

  12. I smelt the coffee, but I have a coffee bean stuck up my nose now!!! Waaaaah!

Anyone know how to get a coffee bean out of a nostril?

    By blowing your nose? No?

Anyway, being serious for a second
times up, back to being silly. 🙂

    Just kidding.

Actually, I’m probably going to be looking at material for a course I’m teaching, as well as starting work on my University Assignments. 🙂
