Dealing with Anger

November 9, 2006

NO! NO! NO! Don’t run off. I’m not angry. 😀

Last week, Ashish C. requested for some anger management tips. Hence, this post.

Anger is a powerful emotion that can color your whole life red. A righteous anger stands up for the good and hates the bad. But many times the anger that you nurse is a destructive self-righteous anger.

Try to understand what causes your anger. If a situation makes you feel angry, look for possible solutions. If a person makes you angry, use your anger as a reminder to make a greater effort at understanding. Let love and peace rule in your heart. Deal with your anger through prayer and positive action. Ask God to cleanse your thoughts and make your heart tender again.

Don’t Feed Your Anger.

Speaking of anger, I recalled this quote some years ago, “Anyone who angers you conquers you.”.

That’s a qood quote, Dan. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

There’s good and there is bad in everything, even anger
However nurturing it is still not a good idea.
Let it come and go naturally but control it is the key element.
Learning to control it will be hard to do though
Nevertheless, anger too can be soothed with great company, words of encouragement and hugs…
    That is what I think…

Thanks for sharing your opinion, my friend. The next time I get angry, I’ll be looking you up for your great company, kind words & hugs. Hehe.. 😉

Hey thank you. For my part I still think that the energy you waste being angry should be diverted to other regions like thinking power. The 1 to 10 formula that everyone suggests doesn’t work with me (maybe I should do 1 to 1000?) Thanks for the tips. I’ll try to do my best.

Glad your well. Couldn’t come here since I was pretty busy. To your good health! *drinks a full glass of water*

    No problem, Ashish. Cheers! 🙂

sometime we just can’t control ourself and blast off.. then we regret for making such a stupid move..

Yup, I know exactly what you mean. 😦

Even though we can control our anger, sometimes it will be pouring out like meteor showers (when it has been kept for far too long) … But still it’s best to control and not let anger take control of everything.
    (:

That’s true. Thanks, my friend. 😀

Getting angry is basically like handing the remote control to the person and say, “hey press whatever buttons you want”
If we lose it, they win it. So keep the cool.
I remember reading once, anger is like coke, you shake it up a bit, it blows up but we should be like water, no fizz just calm.

Well said, Lex. Thanks & HUGS! 😀
