The Enemy in You

April 28, 2007

The best horror stories are about someone familiar, someone “good”, turning into a monster: Jekyll and Hyde, The Body Snatchers, etc.

It really shouldn’t surprise us that the people we know and love can hurt us the most – and we in turn, can hurt most the people we know.

Anger can destroy not only the people around us, but it can become a monster that eats at our very souls.

  5. COOOOKIEEEEE!!!!
Why can’t they just give me monster cookies that taste good but won’t add fat to me! 😉

Oooo, Jeckle and Hyde was written by Robert Louis Stevenson …one of my distant relatives [my fathers side are Balfour Stevensons – just like R.L.S. himself].

But … lets get back to cookies! 🙂

Being related to the writer doesn’t make one a monster, Dabs. 😛

  6. Anneesa Says:

When I was a child and watching Sesame’s Street, I’ve always thought Cookie Monster did eat his cookies. Like any normal ‘thing’ would. Then my brother had to spoil it and told me that Cookie monster didn’t eat the cookies. They go everywhere but down the ‘throat’.

    He ruined it for me.

Anneesa, I’m sure you did spoilt something for him, too. 😉

It’s true.. I tend to snap at people when I’m out of mood, especially to my family member. It wasn’t until I thought of how I’ve been treating them that I realized what I’ve done.. sigh.

    happy weekend, Jemima. going somewhere?
