Take Good Care of Those You Love

August 7, 2007

Sometimes world-changers get so busy changing the rest of the world that they neglect the folks at home. The people who are nearest and dearest to you are just as important as the big project that takes most of your time and energy. It’s important to balance your priorities so that loved ones don’t feel neglected.

Spend time with your children, spouse, family, and beloved friends. Nurturing them will also feed your spirit, for these are the people who care most for you. From doing home chores to just being with loved ones, one of the greatest gifts you’ll ever give is the gift of yourself.

My sincere thanks & gratitude to all of you for your prayers & well-wishes & kind support.

I haven’t replied to many of your emails nor have I replied to each of your comments on the last post. Please accept my sincere apologies. I am truly mentally & physically exhausted.

  7. zeroimpact Says:

There are times when you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of others
Rest well and then care comes in automatically for others

  8. Kyels Says:

As the adage goes; take care of yourself before you can fully take responsibility on others.

I find that statement is rather untrue in certain circumstances. It could be true but only when defined in a right situation. Even if you are hounded by thoughts you can’t shake off from your mind, you still have the capabilities to take care of others. Well, just that one is troubled with their own problems, does not mean they can’t keep track of the people whom they love and their well-being.

Let’s say if one can take care of themselves fairly well but ended up being reluctant to take care of their parents’ or siblings; then what is the point?

Man, I’m rambling, I’m sorry girl; I just had to. I hope Auntie is all right now. My prayers go to you and her. Keep safe.

    *hugs*
